uninspired and really busy

i have been neglecting the blawg lately, because honestly, i don't have anything to say. work is REALLY busy and home life is pretty easy going. i can give you some highlights/lowlights on each, if you even care.

i am working on a big pitch for a job that we might get. really big. i was here until 8pm on friday. i missed happy hour. but oddly enough, i was walking through old city to get to national mechanics (possibly a favorite new bar) and ran into rich. he came along. and to our dismay, there was a real life side show happening. a block head, a "bug muncher" and a totally gay nerd who laid on a bed of nails all performed. it was lame. i am not into that stuff. and i really hated the emcee, who was wearing a leopard print fez and told really bad jokes. when i think of these people, i think of 1990's lollapalooza days. and how they have not left that behind.

my boss took us to a phillies game on monday night. every time i step into a park like that, i think of how much i loved doing that when i was a kid. it's this nostalgic feeling. but in a new park? weird. we should totally go more often and spend $6.50 on beer and $8.00 on chickie's and pete's crab fries. whatever. i am still searching for that blue phillies shirt that i want...

i have so much work to do right now. but i am at a point in my day where i feel like i really can not do anything else. my eyes are going to explode. they leave the lights off on my side of the office, so i end every day squinting. it's really awful. maybe more light would make me feel better about working 12 hours straight. at least there is free food.

with that said, i need to get back to work. feel free to comment and let me know what i should write about. inspire me.

oh my gosh, i forgot!

RIP baby queen. it has been a tearful ten years since that fateful night in gay paris. your memory lives strong in the 1997 version of "candle in the wind." yes, you were england's rose. and charles was (is?) england's tampon.
