we're finally home owners!

i'm blogging from my empty apartment. i'm sitting in an empty bedroom with my laptop. emily is resting her eyes...on the comfortable hardwood.

we're a step closer to living in our new home. we made settlement on friday but the house is not 100% ready for us. the copnstruction team is still at the house doing the final touch-ups and painting. see, we made it much more difficult for them by picking a different color for every room. so it should all be done today.

we moved half of our stuff in yesterday with the help of 4 great friends: fran, ingrid, jeff and kathy. and, one of the new neighbors helped at the new house. today, when the painters are done, we'll be clear to go in the house and move in and unplack. of course, there are still a few punch list items they need to handle, but it's liveable. oh, and we still need pgw to come in and set up the gas service. so we have no heat.

anyway we're really excited. i'll post some pictures next week when we have time.
i hope i can get a free wireless connection at the new place...
otherwise, it will be a while because i have re-set up our comcast cable on the pc. woo.
